East of England (1): Lincoln

On our way to spending a few days over the New Year in north Norfolk, we broke our journey overnight near Lincoln, after spending a few hours exploring the centre. The City of Lincoln is a vibrant and interesting place with many old buildings including a fine cathedral and impressive castle, both on the list to visit next time.
