Portugal Trip 25: Costa Nova

Thursday 1st May 2025

We arrived at this small coastal town last evening and parked-up in a designated park-up at 5€ per night. The area is very pleasant and seems to draw tourists in as there are a lot of motorhomes around. It is probably a bit busier than normal as today is the Labour Day public holiday here in Portugal.

There is a very nice beach and there were some really good waves when we went for a walk along it, around sundown. We hoped for a nice sunset, but it was not to be.

The nearest it got to a sunset. Nice, but not amazing.

Today, we decided to explore the area further by bike, riding along to the headland and the lighthouse there.

We also cycled out to the end of the breakwater:

Returning nearer to the park-up, we enjoyed the way local houses were decorated in unusual ways, many in stripes:

There were also some giant striped deckchairs:

We will be staying here a second night, before moving on tomorrow. That is it for today. See u Later and TTFN.
