Yorkshire Coast (4): Staithes

Yorkshire Coast Trip, Day 8 (Fri 24th April 2021)

Moving on from Robin Hoods Bay, we will be spending a couple of nights in Whitby, but have decided to visit the coastal village of Staites beforehand.

Staithes is in many ways similar to Robin Hoods Bay, in that it requires a steep descent into the village centre, but here there is a small harbour situated at the opening of Staithes Beck. The harbour is protected by a hill to the North and sea defences to the East.
